Why pair solar with storage

Commercial PV alone exports cheap power at midday and buys expensive power in the evening. Storage closes that gap.

  • Solar peaks at noon but site demand often peaks in the morning and evening, so surplus is exported at low feed-in rates.
  • Rising and volatile grid tariffs make every self-consumed kilowatt-hour more valuable than an exported one.
  • Sites want resilience and predictable energy costs, not just a panel count.

How the system works

PV generation, storage and site loads coordinated by one hybrid platform — DC- or AC-coupled.

    PV array

    Rooftop or ground-mount modules generate DC power, with up to 200% PV oversizing supported.

  2. 02

    Hybrid inverter / PCS

    A 50 kW hybrid inverter (cabinet) or central PCS (container) routes power to loads, battery or grid.

  3. 03

    Battery storage

    Surplus midday generation is stored in 280–314 Ah cells rated for 8,000+ cycles instead of being exported.

  4. 04

    Site & grid

    Stored energy covers evening demand; the grid becomes backup, not the default supply.

Should I choose a DC-coupled or AC-coupled system?

DC-coupling suits new PV-plus-storage builds with high DC/AC ratios and captures clipped energy at ~95–96% charging efficiency. AC-coupling suits retrofits and standalone storage, and can charge from the grid. SAKETE supplies both and recommends per project.
